Team Champs 2025

The 2025–2026 season kicked off with a bang at our semi-annual Team Champs event, where swimmers from across the club came together to compete for their respective teams. All three—Bronto, Ptero, and Rapto—brought incredible energy, team spirit, and determination as they battled for the coveted Dino Trophy.

The reigning back-to-back champions, Rapto, entered the weekend hoping to secure their third consecutive title—but Bronto and Ptero were ready to make sure it wouldn’t come easy!

For many swimmers, this was not only the first meet of the season, but in some cases, their first meet ever! It also marked a new beginning for those entering a new training group, giving both coaches and swimmers the chance to strengthen relationships and build connections early in the year. It was inspiring to see so many athletes engaged in thoughtful conversations about their races and strategies—proof of the growing passion and curiosity within our team.

The competition itself was electric, with momentum swinging back and forth between all three teams. At one point, only a single point separated the leaders! In the end, it all came down to the relays, where Team Ptero delivered a clutch performance to claim the Dino Trophy and take home the first Team Champs title of the season.

This meet was an incredible opportunity for our swimmers to learn about racing expectations, teamwork, and how to balance having fun with performing their best. The number of early-season best times was outstanding and sets the stage for what promises to be one of the most exciting and successful seasons yet for the Dinos!
