Fall Start Up '25

Following up Team Ptero’s tremendous triumph the day before at Team Champs, Fall Start Up started out the next morning with a bang. Although a new setting and format for the meet was required this year, that didn't stop UCSC swimmers from showing up, supporting their teammates and shattering times and to get us to a flying start on the season.

For all of our athletes throughout the day, it was a great opportunity to race all 4 strokes, with our older athletes having friendly aggregate competitions with their teammates in a broken 400 IM. For some it was a chance to get out of their comfort zone and race strokes they don't typically do, and for others it was to help fine tune the small details and test out race plans to help prepare for the meets ahead.

After speaking with coaches across both sessions though, one thing was clear: Dinos were there to race and every coach from top to bottom was incredibly impressed with the preparedness and performance of their swimmers. This was an absolutely incredible kick-off weekend for our swimmers and we are all looking forward to an amazing season to come.
