Dinos @ AB Winter Provincial Champs '26

March 27, 2026

The 2026 Swim Alberta Winter Championships were a showcase of depth, determination, and team spirit for the University of Calgary Swim Club. With 88 of our UCSC athletes on deck, ranging from first‑time qualifiers to seasoned veterans, and spanning ages 12 through 19, we demonstrated the strength and breadth of our program across every age group.

Over four full days of racing, the swimmers really rose to the occasion. The meet delivered everything from breakthrough moments to hard‑fought challenges, our athletes met each one with resilience and competitiveness. The result was a ton of personal bests, new qualification standards achieved, and our club record books continuing to be rewritten.

As always, relays were a highlight. UCSC brought big numbers, big energy, and big performances. Watching our swimmers rally together at the end of each finals session, racing not just for themselves, but for the team, was a powerful reminder of what makes this club special.

And in the end, the collective effort paid off. UCSC proudly claimed the championship banner, once again finishing as the top club in Alberta.

Congratulations to every swimmer, and supporter who contributed to this incredible weekend.

While much of our team takes a well‑earned spring break, many senior swimmers will be getting back to training, gearing up for the Canadian Open and Best of the West meets in April.
