2025 Alberta Summer Championships

July 29, 2025

Nearly 60 swimmers made the trip up to Edmonton for the 2025 Alberta Summer Championships, which capped off an incredible season for these UCSC swimmers. The team brought focus, fun, and energy to their final meet of the summer, and their performances reflected it from start to finish.

While the four-day competition felt long at times, the racing was certainly quick. All UCSC athletes stepped up and delivered some of their best performances of the year. Countless personal bests were achieved across all age groups, and thrilling relay swims kept the team spirit high and the stands loud. Whether it was a nail-biter of a relay, a breakout individual swim, or a hard-fought lifetime best, our swimmers left it all in the pool.

These performances weren’t just built over a weekend. They were the result of months of dedication, discipline, and daily effort. From early mornings to tough sets and long training blocks, our swimmers showed what it means to commit to a goal and see it through. The grit and resilience shown throughout the season was on full display in Edmonton, and every athlete should be incredibly proud of the effort they put forth.

As the meet marked the official close of the season for this group, many swimmers will now take a well-earned summer break to rest and recharge before returning to training in September. For some, it was their final meet as UCSC athletes before heading off to post-secondary pursuits, continuing their academic and athletic journeys. Best of luck to them in their future endeavors!

A huge congratulations to all swimmers for an unforgettable season and a fantastic final meet. Your commitment, positivity, and team-first mentality made this year special.

To the parents – Thank you for your unwavering support of your children’s athletic pursuits. Without your support, none of this would be possible.

Lastly, good luck to our UCSC representatives heading to the 2025 Canada Summer Games and World Junior Championships – we're cheering for you!
