A graduate of the Bulgarian National Sports Academy Elena has a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education with emphasis on swimming. Like Emil, Elena is also an accomplished athlete, representing Bulgaria as a member of their national swim team. Hired by the Milton Marlins in 1994 Elena guided their developing swimmers with emphasis on technique and endurance. Her technical expertise, education, and athletic background will be an incredible asset to our organization. She is also a Certified Massage Therapist specializing in sports massage.

Elena has been assisting Emil with Marlins program for 11 years. In 2002 the team won the Ontario Division 3 Championships, in 2003 they won the Ontario Division 2 Championships, and in 2004 finished 13th in the Ontario Division 1 Championships, 14th in 2005 and 10th in 2006. They have produced outstanding team and individual results. The team has produced age group Provincial Champions, former National Champion Jen Porenta, have had age group athletes ranked #1 in Canada over the years and have won the Small Team High Point Award at the Ontario Junior Provincial Championships in 2003, 2004, and 2005. All of these results produced out of a team of 50 swimmers, quite an incredible feat!
