Long Beach California - June 4th 2010
UCSC Swimmers Julianne Brown and Max
Moore competed in the US Open Water 10k Chamiponships in
Long Beach California.. The water was a bit chilly and
the sky was slighly overcast.. providing conditions for a
fast race.. Julianne finished as the 3rd Canadian woman.. for
a spot to represent Canada on this summer's World Cup
team... Julianne placed 21st overall in a time of 2:10.16 and Max
placed 36th in the men's race in his first ever open water race in
a time of 2:08.59....gaining valuable experience in the 10K swim..
Both Juliann and Max will also be
swimming the 5k on Sunday 06 June.... updates to follow!!!

Max Moore - placed 37 out of 77 in a time of
