UCSC's David Chiu Wins Trip to the Olympics

UCSC swimmer, David Chiu, has won the grand prize in an essay contest sponsored by ATCO Group. The contest challenged students in grades 4 through 12 to describe how they pursue leadership and strive for excellence in sports, arts, culture, education or community involvement. David wrote about his experiences with swimming in his winning essay. He will travel to Vancouver to see one of the Olympic events and medal ceremonies. Way to go David!
