About
Us
UCSC is a year-round competitive swim
team offering high quality professional coaching and technique
instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to
provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and
achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to
international competitor.
All of our coaches, as members of the
Canadian Swim Teacher and Coaches Association, have access to the
most comprehensive training and certification program for youth
coaches of any sport in Canada. They provide assurance that the
time children spend in swimming will be quality
time.
UCSC is constantly growing and
training young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim
team. Thank you for joining us. We are looking forward to meeting
you. Please feel free to contact us for any question you may
have.
We provide high quality
swimming programs for the youth of our community as well as deliver
world class training opportunities to those who choose to pursue a
high performance path in swimming.
UCSC is a nonprofit organization whose vision is to be recognized
as the premier swim club in Canada and to be a world leader in
swimming programs at all levels.

UCSC supports close to
400 swimmers from six years of age in our development program to

A Club of Firsts
In 1979, the UCSC became
the first community-based swim club in Canada to enter into
partnership with a university. This allowed us to maintain a club
program with high level coaching and management and also be able to
offer sports science and excellent training facilities. In 1994, we
partnered with the National Sport Centre to bring their swim
program to Calgary. In 2006, the club took another unprecedented
move to establish the first ever Academy for Swimming Excellence.
This latest move will allow us to continue the strong work we have
done in our developmental and age group programs and move forward
toward excellence in international competitive high performance
swimming.
